H-1 Flood Pump

Hoboken's first flood pump, the H-1 wet weather pump station, was completed in 2011 and helped to alleviate flooding in southwest Hoboken.

H-5 Flood Pump

On December 16, 2014, the Hoboken City Council voted unanimously for an $11 million bond to fund the construction of Hoboken’s second flood pump. The 40 million gallon per day H-5 wet weather pump station with emergency generator went online in 2016. Since coming along, it has averted flooding in Hoboken's flood-prone northwest neighborhoods surrounding the ShopRite supermarket.
