This department plans and executes a wide range of community events throughout the year to promote the Arts, theater, family and music activities. Our diverse programming is designed to appeal to the entire community and bring people together. We also provide assistance to local organizations for their annual Hoboken events.

Spring & Summer Events

Movies Under the Stars  - Click for 2017 Schedule FREE outdoor movie screenings, Wed. evenings in  June, July & Aug Pier A Park, located on 1st St. & Frank Sinatra Dr., on the east end of the great lawn.

Concerts in the Sinatra Park - Click for 2017 Schedule FREE Outdoor Summer Performances Thursday evenings at 7 pm. Amphitheater at Sinatra Park, located on Frank Sinatra Dr. between 4th & 5th Streets

Theatre in the Park  - Click for 2017 ScheduleThese FREE Outdoor Performances will be held at Frank Sinatra Park Amphitheater located on Franks Sinatra Drive bet. 4th & 5th Streets.

Spaghetti Dinner Block Party  -   Thurs. Aug. 24, 2017 • 5pm to 8pm Takes place along the walkway on Sinatra Drive bet. 1st & 2nd Streets. Lots of great food, live music & family atmosphere. Tickets available for purchase beginning June 10th at City Hall in the Cultural Affairs Office, 2nd floor.

Concerts in Church Square Park - 2017 Schedule  Takes place in front of the gazebo Wednesdays. in June July & Aug., 7pm to 9pm Church Square Park is located bet. 4th & 5th Street & Garden St. & Willow Ave.

Children's Activities & Programs

Family Fun Nights Click for 2017 Schedule Tuesday nights in June, July & Aug. from 7pm to 8pm Outdoor performances specific to children. Shipyard Park, located at 13th Street & McFeeley Drive behind the King's Supermarket. Sponsored by The Applied Companies

Art in the Park 2017 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday sessionsEarly Morning or Mid Morning Creative activities for ages toddlers, ages 1 to 4 Pier A Park, Sinatra Dr. & First St. and Elysian Park, Hudson St. bet. 10th & 11th Sts. To register visit: www.hobokennj.org/register

Storybook Theatre 2017 TBA Designed for all ages. Elysian Park, 11th & Hudson (in case of inclement weather, tents will be set up)

Embayment Paddling ProgramSchedule TBA; Join Resilience Adventures this summer down at the Boathouse for some paddling or kayaking in a protected embayment. Hoboken Youth Paddle Camp and Mommy/Daddy & Me Kayaking. All classes take place at the Hoboken Cove Boathouse, 11100 Sinatra Dr. N.

Artists Studio Tour 2017Sun. Nov. 5th, noon to 6pm Free self-guided walking tour of artists' studios and community gallery spaces. Pick up maps at City Hall on the day of the tour, located at 94 Washington St.

Art on the Fence: An Outdoor Mural ProjectFeaturing the work of 20 local artists Takes place on 11th St. from Hudson St. to Maxwell Lane and 11th & Hudson heading east along Sinatra Drive. Special thanks to Toll Brothers City Living for their support of this project.

 

Fall & Winter Events

Fall Arts & Music Festival Celebrating our 24th Year Sun., Sept. 24, 2017 • 11:00am-6:00pm Washington St. between Observer Hwy. & 7th St.

Over 300 artists, crafters and more. Great food. Kids area on 3rd Street. 3 stages of live performances. For more information: gfallo@hobokennj.org Click above for more info.

Harvest Festival Sat., Oct. 21, 2017 • 11am-3pm; Pier A Park, 1st St. & Sinatra Dr. Hay rides, a hay maze, pony rides, petting zoo, moonwalk, face painting,pumpkin painting, balloon art, craft activities, soccer, dance & gymnastic demos, live music & dance  and much more. 

Ragamuffin Parade Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017; Parade begins at 3pm Line of march setup for the parade is on Washington St. & 13th Streets beginning at 3pm; Costume contest at Little League Field on 5th St. & River Terrace. Prizes awarded for best costumes.

Christmas Tree Lighting 2017 Tues. Dec. 5th, 5:00pm; with Elvis the Elfwith Elvis the Elf, an appearance by Santa Claus & much In front of City Hall 

 

City Hall Holiday Crafts Fair Sat. & Sun. Dec. 2nd & 3rd, 2017 11am to 5pm Hoboken City Hall, 94 Washington St. Unique Handcrafted Gift Items
